Billy Idol Concert!!
When: Last night
Who: Billy Idol
Where: Queen E Theatre
Linda and I went to see Billy F’in Idol – can you believe it ? unloaded the kids and went out for dinner / drinks and then to the show.
What a fun show – I got these pics of the show off someone up front – we were a bit further back but still great seats
Who would have thought a 50 year old would still be rocking the way he is after all his ups and downs these past 15 years
The crowd was totally into him and stood the whole 2 hours 20 minutes show – All the girls squealed in glee when he took his shirt off. As you can see from the pics, he’s kept himself in good shape and for 50.
Hits like Eyes without a face, Flesh for fantasy, sweet sixteen, Rebel Yell and Mony Mony we’re all awesome. He pulled off a few cover tunes like The Doors LA Woman, The Who Who Are You, Elvis, Van Halen Jump. These were great covers and the crowd went ecstatic for each one.
Guitarist Steve Stevens still lives in the 80’s (not that there’s anything wrong with that) with his snakeskin outfit and hair and makeup but he was impressive. Fun to watch and the band enjoyed jamming a lot – not a formula show which made it even more enjoyable.

No drunk mosh pit for this one like I’m used to but lots of fun just the same. Hey, I can even remember this show and no clothes were ripped and I could drive home after a slurpee stop.
